  • GN 00905.368 Notices to Beneficiaries in the Philippines
  • Procedure
  • Process post-entitlement notices and award certificates in accordance with existing procedures, except:
  • * Instruct Philippine claimants to send all notices which affect their benefits to the Foreign Service Post (FSP) in Manila even if a domestic FO is the resident office; and
  • * Send all award certificates or letters informing beneficiaries that a check will be $2,000 or more to FSP for personal delivery with the check.
  • * Instruct Philippine claimants to send all notices which affect their benefits to the Federal Benefits Unit (FBU) in Manila even if a domestic FO is the resident office; and
  • * Send all award certificates or letters informing beneficiaries that a check will be $4,000 or more to FBU for personal delivery with the check.
  • Keep these notices separate from those mailed directly to beneficiaries. Use an OF-41 (or similar form) to send the notices to FSP with a remark such as “Notice of check for $2,000 or more for personal delivery.”
  • Keep these notices separate from those mailed directly to beneficiaries. Use an OF-41 (or similar form) to send the notices to FBU with a remark such as “Notice of check for $4,000 or more for personal delivery.”
